🧠 How to Automate, Write, and Launch a Course Using AI

We Grew Our Email List by 2,000+ with this AI-built Course

👋 Hey you,

Real talk: You, your co-founder, your cousin who just started a Substack, even your dog with an Instagram page… you all deserve better lead magnets.

Imagine this: your newsletter grows itself, high-quality leads slide into your inbox, and you’re seen as the expert in your space. All thanks to one AI-powered email course.

This guide breaks it down step by step. No webinars, no funnels, no icky sales vibes. Just real value, powered by tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and beehiiv (which, by the way, lets you monetize while you market).

Here’s the full YouTube tutorial (if needed)

🛠️ Tool Stack for this Workflow

ChatGPT for detective-level research 🕵️‍♂️

Claude or silky-smooth writing ✍️

Beehiiv to launch your newsletter/email course 🚀

Let’s break it down 👇

1️⃣ Pick a High-Value Topic Your Audience Actually Cares About

There’s no point in solving problems nobody has. So start here:

  • Scan Reddit, Discord, Twitter replies, and Google Autosuggest

  • Look for "How do I...?" questions

  • Check your DMs, email replies, or comments for recurring questions

  • Our example: We created a prompt engineering course to generate leads for Prompt Genie when I noticed people struggling to write effective prompts

2️⃣ Research Better with Deep Research
  • Use OpenAI's Deep Research tool to gather comprehensive information efficiently. It will automatically research 100s of websites and write a detailed research report on the subject

3️⃣ Break Research into Digestible Lessons
  • We recommend using Claude as it is better for copywriting tasks

  • Create bite-sized lessons (1 per email)

  • Group topics logically (Beginner → Advanced)

  • Rewrite in a friendly newsletter voice

  • 💡 Tip: If Claude hits context limits, split your document into smaller chunks and process each separately.

4️⃣ Make It So Good People Would Pay for It
  • Ask: "Would someone pay for this content?" To make it more valuable

  • Add relevant real-world examples for different audiences

  • Include both technical and non-technical applications

  • Get AI feedback from your "ideal subscriber's" perspective

  • Goal: Create bookmark-worthy, shareable lessons.

5️⃣ Set Up Automated Delivery
  • Configure your email course delivery for each lesson

  • Create a reasonable gap between lessons (2-7 days)

  • Add satisfaction polls to track engagement (my results: 74-90% five-star ratings!)

Now, the email course is the perfect lead magnet. This is the course we created using this workflow. It generated 2000+ newsletter subs in the first week.

🎯 Why this works: It builds trust gradually while showcasing your expertise. It’s basically a drip funnel disguised as value.
